Description - Pump with bucket. Brass barrel of not very substantial construction. The barrel is divided into two sections (pump barrel with the plunger and output barrel which connects to the output hose). The two barrels are only connected internally at the bottom. Flow appears to be controlled by a single valve at the bottom of the pump barrel. This open on the up stroke allowing liquid to flow into the pump barrel. On the down stroke the valve closes and liquid is forced into the output barrel and from there through the hose and lance. The plunger rod appears to have to back to back cup washers. There does not seem to be a valve preventing liquid in the output barrel being sucked into the plunger barrel on the up stroke. This may be prevented by the small aperture of the spray head or by a missing valve on the spray head.
